Water kefir isn’t a guaranteed soda machine. At Good Gut we rely on natural carbonation - no forced carbonation. Fizz levels can vary from batch to batch depending on fermentation time, temperature, sugar levels, and how it’s stored.
Warmer conditions and a longer fermentation usually create more bubbles, while refrigeration slows things down. Even flavour ingredients can affect carbonation.So if it’s a little calmer than expected, it’s still doing its probiotic thing—just taking the “chill” option.

Keep your water kefir refrigerated to slow fermentation and control carbonation. More bubbles - no problem, just let the bottle ferment a little more outside the fridge (away from sunligh) Remember, it’s a living, fizzy drink with a mind of its own.
Avoid shaking before opening, and always open slowly as pressure may build inside the bottle.
