Welcome to Good Gut Beverages. By accessing our website, placing an order, or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. About Our Products
Good Gut Beverages produces naturally fermented, naturally carbonated beverages made with real ingredients. We do not use forced carbonation, artificial preservatives, or artificial flavorings unless otherwise stated. As our beverages are naturally fermented, slight variations in flavour, aroma, colour, carbonation, and sediment are normal and are part of the natural fermentation process. These characteristics are not considered defects.
2. Shipping and Delivery
To allow for ambient courier transportation, we dispatch only freshly bottled stock for all website orders. This provides sufficient shelf stability during normal delivery times. While our beverages are transported without refrigeration, they should be refrigerated as soon as possible upon delivery (please just refer to step 3 in the pop up window first) Customers are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the delivery or that the parcel is collected promptly if held by the courier. Once delivery has been completed, responsibility for proper storage passes to the customer. All courier purchases for our perishable beverages will only be sent out on Mondays
3. Delivery Delays
Although every effort is made to ensure timely delivery, courier delays may occasionally occur. Good Gut Beverages is not liable for delays caused by courier services, weather events, public holidays, strikes, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
4. Naturally Carbonated Products
Our beverages are naturally carbonated through fermentation. Please open bottles carefully, particularly if the product has been left unrefrigerated for any period or has been shaken during transport. Natural pressure may build inside the bottle. Good Gut Beverages is not responsible for spills, overflow, or injury resulting from improper handling or failure to follow storage instructions.
5. Product Information
We strive to ensure that all product descriptions, nutritional information, ingredient lists, and images on our website are accurate. However, because our beverages are made using natural ingredients and traditional fermentation methods, minor variations between batches may occur.
6. Allergies and Dietary Requirements
Ingredient information is provided for every product. Customers are responsible for reviewing ingredient lists before purchasing. If you have allergies, intolerances, are pregnant, immunocompromised, or have medical concerns regarding fermented foods, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before consuming our products.
7. Orders
Orders are subject to acceptance and product availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order due to pricing errors, stock availability, suspected fraud, or any other reasonable circumstance. If payment has already been processed for a cancelled order, a full refund will be issued.
8. Pricing
All prices displayed on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise indicated. Prices may change without notice.
9. Returns and Refunds
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we generally cannot accept returns of food or beverages unless: the product arrives damaged; the incorrect product was supplied; the product is defective at the time of delivery. Any issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery and should include photographs of the product, packaging, and shipping label as well as copy of receipt of delivery clearly stating the date and time of delivery Refunds or replacements are provided at the discretion of Good Gut Beverages after assessment.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Good Gut Beverages shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the purchase or use of our products. Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the products concerned.
11. Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, branding, logos, product names, photographs, graphics, and recipes, remains the property of Good Gut Beverages unless otherwise stated. No content may be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
12. Privacy
Customer information is collected solely for the purpose of processing orders, communicating with customers, and improving our services. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties except where necessary to fulfil orders or where required by law.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
14. Changes to These Terms
Good Gut Beverages reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on our website and become effective upon publication.
